Application Tier 설명#4

Application tier는 두 가지 역할을 갖는다.

• Business Logic을 수행하는 여러 개의 Server와 Service group을 호스팅한다.

Desktop tier와 database tier 사이에서 Communication을 수행한다. 때문에 middle tier라고도 한다.

• Application tier는 기본적으로 4개의 Server, Service group으로 이루어져 있다.

Two Application Server ORACLE_HOME

Oracle Application Release 12에서는 두 개의 Oracle Application Server 11g 버전의 ORACLE_HOMEs으로 구분된다.

Oracle Application Server 11g (10.1.3)

Jserv 를 대신하며 가장 최신 버전의 Oracle Containers for Java (OC4J)이다.

대부분의 주요한 Service들은 10.1.3 ORACLE_HOME에서 시작한다.

Oracle Application Server 11g (10.1.2)

Formsapp.ear로 패키지화 되어있는 Applications module은 10.1.3 ORACLE_HOME에 배치되지만 frmweb은 10.1.2 ORACLE_HOME에서 호출된다.
